Some people may think that a garden is really old-school and women who care a lot about it are fashioned, a shame for the feminism and boring. Well, not.
It's the perfect balance between a stressful day with a lot of work, bustle and people. Going back to nature, having silence and nobody around you, being on your own is a peaceful state of mind.

Preparing for winter-time.
The first frost came last week over the south. Time to prepare your garden for the winter. Bring in the flowers, cut your copses back and your roses. And conserve whats still left. In our case its the spices. Oregano, rosemary, marjoram, thyme. My mom sent me a packet full of these delicate herbs to Berlin. So I dried them near the window, broke them into little peaces and put them into little jars.

Marjoram from our garden |
Easily to break with your fingers |
the same for oregano |
The only difficulty was the thyme. The leafs are so small and the branches too, so I helped myself with a little filter. |
You can also make the herbs smaller with a mortar. |
Most work I had with the rosemary - my favorite herb. Rosemary has no leafs but needles like from a fir tree. So I broke them one by one in little pieces, a lot of work! |
Rosemary, Marjoram and Oregano |
You can sew little bags or pillows, but the faster way to get the great lavender smell in your wardrobe are those little bags they sell you jewellery in. Just put the flowers in there. |
One advantage of those jewellery-bags is you can hang them easily. |
or put them in between your clothes. |
